Amy started her first pet business at 8 years old doing pet sitting for all of the dogs, cats, snakes, birds, and fish in her neighbourhood. Through hr teenage years she continued to rescue and rehabilitate lost, homeless and wounded animals. At 19 Amy moved away to the beautiful Texas hill county. She had been working in the Walmart Garden center and transferred. There she also picked up a 2nd job waitressing. She was madly in love and life was good.

Amy's younger sister had been a dog bather at a grooming salon in their home town, Euless. Her sister had the opportunity to run the business, and took it not knowing what she was getting herself into. One evening Amy got a phone call from her family. Her sister hadnÕt been able to handle the business and before selling they thought theyÕd mention it to Amy. Amy left paradise and her 3 year job. She was on an airplane the next morning.

Amy knew that it wouldnÕt be easy but that this was her dream career and that she had what it took. She knew that she better jump and take this opportunity. It would be the only time sheÕd ever get this lucky. Her boyfriend soon joined and together they began making the H.O.P. what it is today. 3 years later House of Paws Inc. is getting better by the day. Things are going strong and getting stronger.
